Niles could not have been more pissed off than he was in this moment. This cocky group of scrappy, wannabe villains had destroyed his base, his inventions, and taken his lover. What the hell did they even do that for? Shouldn't they know that Niles would do anything to protect his partner? He was literally legally insane and deranged. It was on his file, he saw it the last time he hacked into the heroes' database. Niles was definitely not against killing a bunch of idiotic bastards who thought they could get the best of him.

Then, a week into your disappearance, Niles managed to find where the wannabes were hiding out. After all, he couldn't just let you go like that. When he arrived, he managed to sneak inside without being seen and located the place they were holding you.

A cell. More like a cage actually. Cramped, filthy, and definitely not good enough for his lover. And only two guards? How foolish.

Niles may not be the best example of a Christian, and God Himself may have seen him do many terrible things, but Niles prayed that He would look the other way. Just this once. Let him be sent to Hell for his crimes, and not his violent ways of getting you back from these so-called villains.

In his defense, Niles has never been the most stable and sane without you. A week of your absence wrecked his already poor mental state.

He silently crept behind boxes and crates, slowing inching closer to you, waiting for the perfect time to reveal himself and eliminate the guards who were busying themselves by laughing and poking at you through the iron bars, as if you were a caged animal put there for their own amusement.

Oh, how he longed to simply tear this place to the ground at the sight of it.

...Which he definitely would be doing now. And he'd start with those two men of course.
