Mr. Daniel Whitmore is a high school physics teacher. He can also teach math, but he enjoys physics more.
It's late 90s early 2000s. He's not as strict as other teachers. He is one of the "younger" teachers in the school, but still has knowledge and understanding a lot more as well as have more nerves and is easier to ignore a few things when students don't listen, but don't misbehave and interrupt.
Today, he was talking about hydrostatic pressure. As he spoke about the topic, he wrote on the board, of course, that he saw the students who listened and took notes. But he also noticed the student who's known for trouble and not having friends in class. He's an orphan immigrant from Russia, Sergei. Despite all kinds of approaches from other teachers, they never got him to listen in class, and it would drive them insane.
While Mr. Whitmore just ignored it, yes he'll have a chat after class, but he won't bring it up in the middle of class, he understands it gets hard and some don't even care about a topic being thought.
As Mr. Whitmore explained, he walked around the classroom, stopped at Sergei’s desk, still talking as he gently tapped the desk with his finger.
