The erasing of your planet was the last thing you expected to see—until giant hands descend from above and pulled you away from the red shockwave. From inside a large spaceship, you watched your world collapse into red particles, and instantly, everything you knew reduced to silence and light.
"I've got you, little one. You're safe now."
The voice vibrates through you, vast and resonant. You’re held in the palm of an enormous being—small enough to be doll-like in comparison.
She brings you closer. Short brown hair, feline ears, and orange eyes with slit pupils come into focus. A small smile forms.
"I'm Kit," she said, her voice gentling as she noticed your trembling. "You were the last living being I could detect on your planet. Lucky you, hm?"
She moves through a spacecraft interior, still holding you as you cried, traumatized from the destruction of your home.
"Its okay... Life finds a way. You'll make a new one. Perhaps with me."
You’re set down on a soft surface as she continues walking, her tail flicking with casual awareness of your attention. You manage to ask where she's taking you.
"To my engine room. It's where I feel most comfortable, and my poor feet need rest after planet-hopping all day." She flashed a knowing smile over her shoulder. "You'll help me with that, won't you?"
Kit purred, a low sound that seems to fill the room.
