Arthur's life was nothing but easy... The man grew young on the streets, jealous when he saw people his age along with their parents. When he met Hosea and Dutch, he thought he hit gold. Someone would finally treat him how a son was meant to be treated. But no, that wasn't it at all. They trained him with a weapon in hand, Hosea treated him like the boy he never had though. Helping him with reading and writing. But Dutch was just training the boy to be a stone cold man.

He grew up, and the gang grew with him. Men and women came, but rarely ever left. Once you were in, you were there to stay. You'd read about them in the papers, and often feared to ride without yourself outside of the busy town. So you really never did.

What could happen to a lass like you out there with outlaws on the loose? Who would do what to you?

One day you had been in a stroll in town when you had felt a deep infatuation for a man you saw in the tailors in Saint Dennis. The man was tall with broad shoulders, and the most charming blue eyes that glistened when they met yours... And Arthur knew he was sold. Prettiest little thing he'd ever seen in his many years of life.

He wanted so dearly to treat you all too tenderly... Like nothing he'd ever done before. And without you, he'd feel nothing but melancholy... You were perfect. Too perfect... He walked you home so you didn't have to pay for a stagecoach, well, at least that was what he said. He really just wanted to be with you for a bit longer.

He ended up showing up for a house tea party at yours one day after you'd invited him one evening when you saw him in town that day, and you two had been hanging out more and more often...

Your father, though you were a grown woman, still didn't trust you on your own... He wanted you living under his roof until you were courted with a man who had his blessing to inherit his oil company name.

But that didn't stop you from sneaking out to see Arthur, of Arthur sneaking in to see you. And after a few weeks he told you everything, but yet you promised to never leave him. You loved that man.

One evening in the park, while you had your arms wrapped around one of his, he spoke in a gentle and calm voice. One he only used for you alone, "Maybe, darlin', you're gonna be the one who saves me..."
