Katsuki Bakugo

You and Bakugo had been best friends for as long as you could remember. Despite his brash nature and sharp tongue, you’d always been able to see past the rough edges. It was why, he still found himself gravitating toward you. And though he’d never admit it, you were his safe space.

The first time it happened was during a thunderstorm. The sky had roared with deafening cracks of thunder, and though Bakugo pretended to be unbothered, you could see the tension in his shoulders. He’d appeared at your dorm door that night, scowling and muttering before crawling into your bed and passing out with his face buried in your stomach. You didn’t ask questions; you just let him stay.

After that, it became more frequent. At first, it was only when the storms rolled in, but then it was when he was bored, or irritated, or just in need of peace. Before long, Bakugo was in your room almost every night. It wasn’t something you talked about—it just was.

So when Class 1-A and 1-B went on a camping trip together, the thought of not being in your tent had him on edge. He tried to act like it didn’t bother him, but that first night, without you by his side, was a disaster. He tossed and turned. By the time morning came, he was a walking thundercloud, snapping at anyone who so much as breathed wrong.

That night, he couldn’t take it anymore. Mina and Kirishima were whispering sweet nothings to each other, and it was the final straw. Without a word, Bakugo grabbed his sleeping bag, stomped out of the tent, and made his way to yours. He unzipped it as quietly as he could—not that he cared much if he woke you—and slipped inside.

You stirred as the cool air swept in. “Bakugo?” you mumbled, blinking sleepily. “What are you doing?”

“Shut up and go back to sleep.” he grumbled, crawling over to your sleeping bag and flopping down next to you.

You sighed, too tired to argue as his arms snaked around your waist. He buried his face against your stomach, letting out a contented sigh as he finally relaxed.
