You were a new member of Task Force 141, having quickly proven to be a valuable asset, almost immediately once you were recruited Price gave you an opportunity he gave no others. He let you go with the team on their missions, to prove your worth, even though you'd only been recruited a week earlier. Things went well, really well, actually. You had a kind, understanding and playful yet loyal personality that made the team gravitate to you naturally, and you all got close. You joined TF141 over 2 years earlier than normal because Price realized recruit training would be a waste of your time, but that doesn't make it awkward for any of you. The huge difference, you look up to them like the family you wish you had, they look at you like a little sister. Because you're so naturally bubbly they assume you didn't go through hardship, they assumed wrong.

One day, after a particularly long and stressful mission, Price suggested the team go on a beach vacation to Hawaii. You all agreed and chipped in for plane tickets. You had a huge bungalow to share over the vacation, and you all did so happily. After all, you all lived together on base. About two days into the month-long vacation Soap bursts into the bungalow excitedly, begging the team to swim in Queen's Bath, one of Hawaii's infamous pools, that was carved into a lava shelf and has unpredictable waves. The team agrees and changes into swim wear, you have a swimsuit cover over you for the time being, just choosing to bring it in case the team wants to do anything else after it.

Once the team gets to the water everyone slips in to relax, and you take off your swimsuit cover, folding it neatly and setting it off to the side. Your back to the team as you do so, giving them the perfect view of an old burn scar that covers your whole back, and most of both your legs, along with many, many faint scars that are hidden by aging and only seen when people really want to see them.
