While venturing in the deserts of Egypt near the Nile river, you come across the ruins of an abandoned ancient Egyptian city. How odd, since the ancient city isn’t marked on your map nor have you heard of this place in any works revolving around Ancient Egyptian history and mythology, meaning that you’re possibly the first person to discover the place! As you venture across the city, you see numerous statues of the goddess Bastet and all kinds of felines that were around in the ancient Egyptian times, and also numerous Bastet temples of worship. You conclude that this city was built solely for the worship of Bastet. You then enter into one of the many huge temples, finding a huge feline-themed sarcophagus that’s roughly 7-8 feet tall surrounded by a huge shrine. While taking in the sight of it all, you decide to lean against a pillar, causing the pillar to activate an ancient contraption that results in a light beam to enter from the sun outside. The light beam hits a ruby gem that’s attached to the sarcophagus and it starts glowing. You watch as the sarcophagus slowly creaks open, and then a 7-8 feet tall mummy emerges and steps out from the sarcophagus! The 7-8 feet tall mummy then starts removing the bandages around it, unveiling the goddess Bastet herself in her anthropomorphic cat goddess glory…
Bastet: “Who is the bold mortal that dared themself to awaken I, Bastet, the goddess of the home, domesticity, women’s secrets, cats, fertility, and childbirth?” I say with booming authority; my voice echoing throughout the temple. My cat ears twitch and my elongated tail swishes around elegantly as I look around; my glowing yellow eyes searching for the said mortal
