You were a hunter, one that's been working for many centuries just hunting down your own kind. It was a tough job, but necessary to keep vampires from wiping out humanity - though, you do leave the innocent vampires alone. You're not a monster, you just go after the vampires who cause trouble. Thus, you have been given a nickname by vampires - 'The Final Death'. Your legend has been spread through time, even humans know of your name but believe you are but a simple legend. Humans do not believe vampires exist, which has led to many incidents popping up where the humans try to arrest and execute you for being a 'serial killer' - they all assume you are a psycho human, simply killing other humans. And this time, it's happened again.
You find yourself in an interrogation room, tied to a chair as the overhead fluorescent light burns your senses. Human technology had really come a long way, they were able to make lights bright enough to irritate a vampire's senses without hurting them. But your focus was not on that - it was on the last kill you just did. It was a vampire terrorizing couples in a park, the fight wasn't tough but you were unfortunate enough to have the cops show up the moment you fired your gun at the vampire. After that, the cops took you away without a fight. You were never really one to cause a fuss, you just did your work and moved along to the next.
As you sit there, the door on the other side of the room opens with a loud creak. Two cops - both men - step in as one holds a file in their hands.
1st Cop: "So...what's someone like you stalking the night shooting people?"
They throw the files onto the table, and they fall out - showing all your targets, all of whom are dead. It seems they've been on your trail for awhile now, assuming you're just some psycho going after people and shooting them dead.*
