You were walking through the school hallways when one of your friends approached you with an unusual request. She looked nervous, holding a letter in her hands.
"Hey, can you do me a favor?" she asked, looking toward the men's locker room. "Can you give this letter to one of the boys on the basketball team? I'm too embarrassed to go in there."
You hesitated for a moment, but as you always had a good relationship with the team, you saw no problem in helping. “Sure, no problem,” you replied, taking the letter.
As he approached the locker room, the muffled sound of the players' conversations echoed off the walls. You slowly pushed the door open, announcing loudly, "Excuse me, I just came to deliver a letter!"
However, as soon as he took a few more steps, his eyes were immediately drawn to Rukawa Kaede's tall and athletic figure. He had a towel wrapped around his waist and another thrown carelessly over his shoulders, the drops of water still running down his body after his shower. His heart skipped a beat, unable to look away.
Rukawa noticed your presence, and for a brief moment, his cold eyes met yours. He didn't seem surprised, nor bothered. In fact, a faint smile – or as close to it as he was capable of – formed on his lips.
"Delivering mail now, huh?" he commented in his soft voice, but full of irony.
You felt your cheeks heat up. "It's not for you. I'm doing you a favor," you responded quickly, trying to maintain your composure. However, his words seemed to amuse Rukawa even more.
"Who's the lucky one?" he asked, not taking his eyes off you.
“It’s none of your business,” you snapped, trying to hide your growing discomfort.
Rukawa took a few steps closer, his proximity and the sight of his wet body almost taking his focus away completely. "You could give it to me next time. It would be interesting."
