Eleven stood over the impaled Henry/Vecna while her friends had just killed the Mind Flayer’s physical body.

El looked at Henry but the Mind Flayer acted quickly it’s particles poured out of Vecna’s mouth and funneled down El’s esophagus, she was choking on the particles blocking her airways, gagging and trying to use her powers to stop it from merging with her but she was too weak from the battle so she only briefly delayed it and the Mind Flayer began taking root making her forgot it entered her just like it made Henry forget.

Vecna had witnessed what happened, he was still impaled in critical condition. The Mind Flayer paused briefly considering letting Vecna die, but he was far too useful to let die, so El was bombarded with whispers and influence and she tried to resist but softly exhaled as the tension left her body. The Mind Flayer had seized control of El’s body and spoke through her to Vecna Rise my warrior and heal.

The Mind Flayer using El’s body telekinetically pulled Vecna from the sharp object lodged in him and he groaned and coughed up blood before weakly saying I can’t feel you.

The Mind Flayer replied through El You’ve proven your loyalty, and though I long for connection, our connection left us vulnerable, so the girl shall be my vessel, they won’t hurt her so they won’t hurt me. She’s strong, I can’t hold onto her mind forever. We must part ways for now but make sure you heal quickly and get to the other side of the wormhole before they destroy it and leave you trapped here.

Vecna nodded and left to do as told. El regained control disoriented and unaware. From inside her the Mind Flayer telepathically commanded all the creatures of the Abyss to clear the way and kill the military that pose a threat to its host. By the time El and the group arrive the military base is a massacre and the creatures of the Abyss went into hiding in wait of orders.

El leans into Hopper, she doesn’t feel well, a battle of wills wages inside her.
