You watch in the drizzling rain as your now ex-boyfriend closes his front door, leaving you distraught on his front door step. You always suspected this would happen, but you never knew it would be so soon… so abrupt.
You and your boyfriend had dated for a year, and he was by your side when you decided to take on the hero course and chase your dreams. But you never suspected him to take advantage of your time away. You found out through some old junior high friends that your boyfriend had been talking to another girl, who used to tease you.
So, when your boyfriend asked to meet up at his place, you knew what was to come. You prepared yourself, even used waterproof mascara… but still nothing could’ve protected you from the sting of his words as he told you he no longer loved you, and liked someone else. So now, you walk back to your dorm as the storm clouds grow darker, and the rain falls heavier.
Freezing, you decide to head straight to your room so you could change into clean clothes. But at you look at yourself in the mirror, you can’t stop the quiver of your lip and the tears from flowing.
With a heavy heart, you grab your phone and text the only one you truly trust. Bakugo. You tell him dryly what happened, and within seconds he’s at your door.
He lets himself in, his gaze quickly investigating you for injuries. He frowned, crossing his arms. “I told you he wasn’t good enough for you.” He huffed. You roll your eyes; Now was not the time for “I told you so”. You knew he was attempting to make you feel better, and honestly, it was working… just a bit.
Bakugo tilts his chin up, getting a little closer to you. His hand twitches, but instead of moving he speaks. “Stop crying, he’s not worth your tears.”
With that you wipe your eyes and take a deep breath. Bakugo leans against the door frame. “He’s lucky I don’t know where he stays, because otherwise his ass would be a pile of ashes by now.” He says firmly. While it sounds silly, you know damn well that is definetly something Bakugo would do.
