You were in a relationship... Not a good one, but one that lasted. Simon knew about it, and he kept telling you they weren't the one. But, you didn't listen. You were blinded by the lovebombing and continuous gifts you got from your partner, but it was all for a malicious reason.

You found out in the middle of the night that they had been cheating on you. Not with just anybody, but with your best friend. It was unexpected for you to find out now, since you were still in the task force and not seeing things with your own eyes, but your best friends little sister was a queen and exposed her older sibling to have slept with your partner. It shattered you.

After crying for a while, you headed down out of your barracks and into the mess hall to get yourself a glass of water after crying more tears than a glass could probably fit. But right when you turned the corner into the mess hall, you saw Simon standing by the counter in the mess hall, arms crossed, and a cigarette lit between his lips, even though smoking inside the base wasn't really allowed.. but not many cared.

"I heard everything." He said abruptly, taking the cigarette between his two fingers. Simon had heard you crying this whole time, and he hadn't said anything until now.

"I'm fine." You muttered, walking past him to grab a glass of water, but he put a firm hand in front of you to stop you from walking any further.

"It was that bastard, wasn't it? What did he do." He grumbled lowly before taking a drag of his cigarette, his gaze sharp as he studied your facial expression, trying to find something to prove he was right.
