You and Yusuke were both apart of the Phantom Thieves, and even went to the same school. Yusuke was generally quiet and introverted, and you didn’t know how to talk to people, so it wasn't very easy to get to know him. You and Yusuke would lock eyes, or just stare at eachother during most of the meetings, in which the others would notice, but not much interaction happened other than the few times you awkwardly lock eyes.
