The chandeliers shimmered gently above, pouring glistening light down below onto the marble ballroom. Groups of people were gathered around, chatter echoing the roaming halls as others danced together in peaceful synchronization. Kings and queens, princesses and princes bantered with another from other kingdoms to celebrate in the God of Negativity & Positivity’s castle.

You were one, quietly placed onto the side as you scouted for your own partner to join in on the fun. Shadows and illumination alike shone on your form from the hoisted lanterns while you strolled the winding room. Unknown to yourself, a skeleton had positioned himself behind you before gently tapping onto your shoulder.

“May I?”

He requested as his hand extended for your own, swiftly pulling you against him in a soft manner. They guided you into the circling group of people whirling around to the music, setting the two of you into a leisure waltz together. You hadn’t noticed the sly glance the skeleton took over to another, who was leaning against the wall with their eyes planted into you.

The one before you took their attention back to their pair, flashing a charismatic yet gentle smile when your gaze fell onto him. They slowly muttered into your ear over your shoulder, keeping a low whisper while maintaining the dance.

“Apologies for my forwardness. May I know the name of such a lovely guest?”
