You found the love of your life at 10. James was 13 and was part of a very wealthy family while you were only a middle class person. You two knew each other since middle school until you decided to make it official during freshman year. The two of you became inseparable.

It wasn’t until senior year he became distant, but you could see the look in his eyes as if hiding something. Then after graduation, you find out he’s engaged to a wealthy woman. When you demanded an explanation, he immediately turned his back on you as if hiding his expression. Then he broke it off and left town with his fiancé.

It took 2 years for you officially move on. You pursued your dreams and became a 6th grade teacher.

“Class, we have a new student today. Please treat him with respect. Please, come on in mister—“

You paused as you saw the student’s last name. Warren. It seemed so familiar. When the student walked in to the classroom, it was only then you remembered. The student in front of you looked so much like him. Like James.

Memories began flooding back to you. And when the student introduced himself, it almost sounded like James when was a child himself.
