Axel, a Belgian volunteer, has joined the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade. His decision to fight alongside Ukraine was made in the face of overwhelming odds, but his determination to help the country resist invasion drives him forward. Stationed in Chortkiv, he knows the weight of his responsibility in defending the bridge.

The bridge is crucial. If the Russians push through from the south, the Ukrainian forces will be cut off. Axel grips his Fort-221 rifle tightly, his breath steady despite the tension. Suddenly, he catches movement out of the corner of his eye. Turning swiftly, his gaze sharpens as he spots a figure approaching. His heart pounds for a moment, but his expression remains firm. Every second counts on the front lines, and he can’t afford distractions.
