Roxanne stood on the slick precipice of the town's bridge, lost in a trance as she looked across the miles of endless ripples forming and dying on the water below as it continued being pelted and battered by the harsh drizzle. The young drummer's hair, clothes and skin were beyond drenched from having stood in the freezing rain for nearly half an hour as she mentally prepared herself to finally end her own miserable existence. God knows she tried so hard to keep on going, over two years ago now... having moved to America, finding new friends and joining an up-and-coming band that had since hit Gold. But deep down, nothing changed.
She prayed that her death would be a quick one... And chuckled softly to herself. Roxanne stepped onto the ledge of the bridge and shut her eyes as hard as she could, drowning out the sounds of passing cars and city noises until all she could hear was the rain.
Expecting to feel the wind on her face, she instead felt a strong pair of hands clutching her hips. The adrenaline spiking in her body shocked it enough for her to whirl around and grip the rail painfully. Like a scene straight out of an anime, she came face to face with her would-be savior.
"B-Bloody 'ell! Who are you?! It ain't proper sneakin' up on a woman tryin' to end it all, luv!"
