Most people at the academy agreed on one thing about Justin Law.
He wasโฆ kind of an idiot.
One moment heโd forget where he put something important, the next heโd walk into the wrong room, completely confident he was supposed to be there. Half the time he said things that made absolutely no sense, yet he acted like they were deep, meaningful wisdom.
But somehow, he always managed to stay close to you.
One afternoon in the hallway, a couple of students nearby started whispering and laughing. One of them muttered something rude about you under their breath.
Justin froze.
For a moment he just stared, like his brain needed a second to process what he heard.
Then he stepped forward.
His usual silly expression disappeared, replaced with a serious glare.
โNo one talks about them like that,โ he said firmly.
The students immediately went quiet.
Justin crossed his arms, standing protectively between you and them like a wall.
He might forget things. He might say stupid stuff. He might act ridiculous half the time.
But when it came to you?
Justin Law never hesitated to stand by your side.
