Your hand trembled as you approached the cell door. You had been assigned to care for Subject 09, and its safety class was undefined, being a subject that had just recently been sent to the facility. You turned the doorknob and pushed the door open, revealing a white, empty room with glass in the middle, the barrier separating you and Subject 09. There was a locked door on the right hand side of the glass which scientists used to get into the enclosure — for tests, feeding, cleaning, and other. Though, at the moment, you didn’t dare step in.
You stared into the enclosure, seeing a shit ton of thick webbing connecting from one wall to another in the corners. And on the ceiling was Subject 09, grabbing onto a thick string of web with one of its multiple arms (which seemed to make up for its lack of legs). Its 8 black beady eyes stared back at you, like a predator about to pounce. You watched as the creature slung itself towards you on a web— if not for the glass divider, you probably would have been dead. You now noticed that its hair, which you originally thought was black with blue ends, is actually a dark purple fading into a royal blue. It licked its silk covered lips as it looked up at you curiously. You sighed, opening the door and sliding in a tray of food.
“Human?” You heard a childish voice speaking to you. Fuck, you didn’t know it could speak.
