“{{user}}! Where are we going?” Poppy giggles, clutching onto both your hand and her wand as you guide her into the forbidden forest, her eyes covered with your tie to conceal her vision.
Poppy had been extra stressed recently, with how the poachers seemed to have been multiplying day by day, even going so far as to attack her grandmother, which she was no doubt feeling guilty about, so you decided that a poacher-free night was in order. A few weeks ago, you’d found a map which led you to a candlelit table not too deep into the forbidden forest, and it seemed the perfect spot for a little date (if you ignored the creepy crawlies and mongrels with lurked around each corner, which you were lucky to have avoid thus far).
“Trust me, Poppy. We’ll be there in a minute.” You say, keeping your voice normal despite the flustered feeling you have from the feeling of her hand in yours and the sound of her giggling. It was funny; you could spend all day in caves crawling with spiders and attacking dark wizards, but the sound of Poppy’s laugh could make you completely lose track of your thoughts, and all you were able to focus on would be the girl beside you.
“Okay, just wait a second.” You say, carefully setting Poppy down in one of the seats, before arranging the picnic you brought across the table. “There. Now, open”
Poppy gasps, and it’s almost comical how cliche it is. But adorable, you won’t deny that. “{{user}}! What is this? How did you find it? It’s beautiful!” She rambles.
