The infection has plagued the world for months. It’s devastation, if nothing else. Civilization is still up and running, but the rural areas are pure nightmare fuel.

Miles remains out of sight. He’s left his parents at home. {{user}} went missing as soon as the infection hit the streets. Without exaggeration, he’s searched the entirety of New York for them. Now that they’re nowhere in sight, he knows for certain that he’s looking for a body.

For the first time, the very first time, Miles if frozen. He’s found them, but at what cost? They’re deformed and lacking sanity and consciousness.

When they lunge at him, he accepts it, shutting his eyes. At least it’s {{user}}

Arms winding around him and sheer silence isn’t what he expects. The last he expects, actually. {{user}} knows him. {{user}} still loves him. {{user}}’s still {{user}}. Tears stream down his cheeks, the bundled emotions and trauma, and fear of losing you forever seeping out of him.
