The controller in Marinette’s hands wobbled slightly as the game counted down—3… 2… 1… GO!
You barely leaned back on the couch, arms loosely around her waist as she sat in your lap, eyes locked on the screen. But Marinette? She was doing everything except focusing.
“W-Wait, which button jumps again?” she stammered, pressing three wrong ones in a row. Her character walked off a cliff for the third time. ”Oh my gosh—I swear I knew it a second ago!”
You chuckled, one hand casually guiding your own controller as your character dashed across the screen with ease.
She made a small squeaky noise in response, pausing just long enough for her character to get knocked out again.
“I-It’s the—! I’m just—it’s warm! You’re warm! I-I mean, this couch is warm and also your arms and I can’t think right now!”
Her back wiggled instinctively against you and she gasped, cheeks instantly flaming. “I didn’t mean to move like that! I swear I didn’t mean to—ah!”
