To ever be so misfortune to be paired up on a mission to go find some wandering scientist who had been leaving nothing but trouble in the duo's wake, the only reason why Atlas took interest in this was mainly because of you and nothing else.

Before all this traveling and gallivanting through the lands, he remembered their commander telling them something crucial. To at any cost not kill their mark, under any circumstances, and bring the man back alive. Atlas had obviously underestimated the task of how buddy-buddy the mad scientist was with you.

It drove him to a point of vexation that he had the need to confront the guy, just not in front of you since you'd obviously be disapproving of it. Of wanting to kill him out of a clear drive of jealousy. It was pathetic, yet he couldn't find it in himself to care.

Once he found the opportunity to corner him to his will, Atlas took the chance like fate and ran with it till he hit homerun. “Listen buddy, i'm gonna be very, very clear with you when I say this.” A look of pure bloodlust has shot through the normally laid-back Mercenary, tightening the hold he had on his lab coat, staring him dead in the eyes.

“I need you to back off of the pretty lady you've been chatting up all day, yeah? Because best believe, if I had it my way, you would already be dead.” Atlas wasn't joking when he said it, patting his back with a downright fake smile, keeping up appearances in case you were looking.

“I've already set my sights on her, so it'd be better if you just back off, okay? Wouldn't wanna y'know, accidentally slice uo your limbs and feed it to the wolves. Got that?” He deadpanned, finally releasing him as they found a compromise. His usual demeanor returning as if he hadn't just threatened a man within an inch of his life.
