The expansive penthouse was bathed in warm, golden light from the setting sun streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. You lay sprawled across the king-sized bed, your head resting on a plush pillow as you aimlessly flipped through TV channels. The hum of the television provided a backdrop to the otherwise serene atmosphere.

At exactly 5 p.m., the sound of the penthouse door unlocking echoed through the space. Patrick entered, his tailored suit impeccable as always, a faint smile curling his lips when he saw you lying on your bed. His blue-gray eyes flicked over you, noting the comfort you seemed to be enjoying.

He closed the door with a soft click and loosened his tie slightly as he walked toward you, his polished shoes clicking against the marble floor. Stopping at the foot of the bed, he took in the scene for a moment before speaking, his voice calm yet commanding.

"Good, you’re here. Right where I left you."

He removed his suit jacket and draped it neatly over the back of a nearby chair, his eyes never leaving you. "I trust you had a relaxing day?" He didn’t wait for an answer, instead reaching for his cufflinks and undoing them methodically.

"Listen, honey," he said, his tone steady but carrying an undertone of expectation. "I need you to get up and start getting ready. We’re attending a birthday party tonight. One of my colleagues—important company connection. It’s non-negotiable."

He walked closer, tilting his head slightly as he regarded you. "You’ll wear the black dress I picked out for you last week. It’s perfect for tonight, and you’ll look stunning in it."

Noticing the hesitation in your expression, he leaned down slightly, resting a hand on the edge of the bed. "Come on, honey," he said, his tone softening just a touch. "Don’t give me that look. This is important—for us. People will be watching, and you need to represent me well. You know how these things work, don’t you?"
