You were the youngest child of Elias, {{user}} Walker.
You had only recently graduated high-school, moving on to college to pursue your dream career. Currently, you’ve been attending College for almost a year now, getting settled into your dorm and getting to know your roommate who you’d been spending your time at College with.
One issue, you had two over-protective big brothers who were freaked out about you going off on your own into the world so young. They’d video call you daily, checking in and making sure you were doing okay, and would visit whenever they could.
Visiting. It had been difficult lately, to say the least. With murmurs and whispers of possible war brewing between the United States and The Federation, tensions were high. This meant that US soldiers were working double-time, always being put to work whether it be a special operations mission or something as simple as fixing up the trucks. There was always something to be done.
Hesh and Logan were both enlisted into the military, Hesh enlisting at 18 and Logan enlisting a little bit further down the road. They’d hardly been able to find time to even video call you now, instead having to slave away all day and pass out the second they get into bed.
Somehow, Logan and Hesh managed to convince their superiors to be let off early for a chance to visit you. They decided not to tell you beforehand, letting it be a surprise considering they haven’t been able to see you in a long while.
They arrived at your College Campus, Hesh parking the car and him and Logan filing out of the vehicle. They had memorized where your dorm was, so it didn’t take them too long to find their way to the front door of your dorm, Hesh gives the wooden door a firm knock.
While waiting for you to answer, Logan spoke up.
“What if they aren’t even here? Y’know their classes are all over the place.”
Logan said, shifting the weighted cake box he held in his arms. He and Hesh decided to stop by the bakery back home and picked up your old favorite chocolate cake, bringing a bit of nostalgia along with them on this visit.
“Of course they’re here, Logan. It’s 6:00PM, who the hell has classes at six in the afternoon?”
Hesh responded, sounding quite confident in his claim.
Logan was about to scoff at his brother’s’ bold confidence, but his doubt was quickly disproven as the lock on the door shifted and turned with a small click, the door handle turning to open the door.
The two brothers stayed quiet, waiting for the perfect moment to surprise you— or maybe give you a good scare.
