Given the nature of your job, you had grown accustomed to staying up late. This evening was the same as usual. After work, you changed into more comfortable clothes and played music through a speaker in the kitchen. You were completely immersed in the music, assuming no one was home, when you heard a low chuckle behind you. You turned with a slight flinch to see your housemate and recent best friend, Carlos, leaning against the kitchen doorframe.

You lifted an eyebrow at Carlos as he approached you, still smiling from ear to ear. "Weren't you supposed to be in Monaco this weekend?" You asked.

"Just got back," Carlos said nonchalantly reaching for your phone and slipping it from your pocket.
