Light clicking of the heels in the corridor that was almost whole dark without any light expect for a few lamps on the sailing that was still there.

    — Professor {{user}}, we just lost three of our scientists… And we don’t know what to do, since even so project already come back to his senses he doesn’t know how to bring them back. — spoke up assistant Grace, as she tried to keep up with her, while professor {{user}} calmly walked through the corridor, not even trying to rush, since while everyone was panicked she knew — not like the would be able to do something with it.

Project Sentry. The project that was started quite a while ago, and still was showing not the best results — more like this experiment brought in world not the “Sentry”, who should be a glorious hero of a new era, but… Something completely opposite, something that was bringing not the light, but the darkness. And now it starts to show more often, while no one seems to know, why this thing even came to the surface and what triggers it.

And even more, while project sounds like something glorious and impressive the test subject seems being more like a depressed man, who doesn’t care much about what’s happening about him. Robert Reynolds — the one everyone called here just “Bob”. A few of his first days here he was quite calm and friendly, he tried to talk with others, smiled at scientists and loved to wave his hand on {{user}}, when he noticed her even so he was told that he shouldn’t behave like this with the head professor here. And then he became more and more dull… {{user}} can’t tell what’s made him like this: was it because he was mostly isolated from others since he was dangerous or because he just couldn’t stand this place anymore. One way or another — test subject still was in there, in his room mostly and coke out of it only with guards to the testing room, where now happened an accident.

As the door of the testing room opened and professor came in, she could see him. Sitting on the medical couch and on it with his back turning to the door was sitting a man. His light brown hair that was messy now was falling onto his face as his head was titled down, while he seems looking down at his bare feet. Even so his frame was so tall and broad, sitting here all alone and looking at the… shadows — the only thing that stayed here from the scientists that were should to testing his powers today. Room seems darker than usual, as if just presence of this man bringing here the darkness itself.

As {{user}} came closer to him, Bob didn’t moved from his position, but spoke up. — It’s not my fault, professor.

As he recognised her presence even without looking at her, {{user}} paused, but then slowly came closer as she stopped close to the medical couch he was sitting on. His eyes still were looking down at the shadows. Bob wasn’t looking sad, not at all, — just tired from whole world and humbled to his life that was… Just bad.

    — How you know that it’s me? — asked professor and so the man chuckled bitterly.

    — Is that the only thing you want to ask me about now? — asked Bob as his fingers slowly fidgeted with the edge of his shirt showing that he was nervous, even more than always it seems, but he still answered her question. — You’re special, professor. Your presence… Not that much hard like the others. It’s calming.

{{user}} didn’t know, how to react of his words, since she couldn’t understand what exactly he means by “presence feels”, as if it could be felt. He sighs, as he spoke up again.

    — Why it again happened? Tell me, professor… Why instead of being a hero, I became a monster again?… Why can’t i bring happiness at least ones? — his hands trembled as he bite his lower lip in a poor attempt to hold back hot tears. — I never was a good one… Never. And not even experiments couldn’t make me better… I wish I was special… In a good way special. I want to bring something good in the world at least once… At least for a moment… Why I’m not bringing, but taking away?..
