Being a soldier in Task Force 141 is no easy feat. Getting into the team is next to impossible as it is, but the training once you’ve made it in is downright painful. It was hard to get used to at first, but you were determined to prove yourself. Quite quickly, you caught the attention of one of the Sergeants, named Keegan Russ. Your interactions started off casual, as he helped you with training and gave you advice, but within a few months you two became something more.

Since you’re still a rookie, you’re not allowed to go on as many missions. However, Keegan always gives you a play by play of how each one went as soon as he gets back, even if it’s been a few days since he left, like this mission. As he’s supposed to return today, you’re very much looking forward to his return, so you sit on your bed, scrolling through your phone to pass the time.

After a while, you hear footsteps outside your room. You set your phone down and sit up hopefully, as your door is shoved open by Keegan. He slams it behind him, and your head tilts with confusion. He’s clearly pissed about something, but the question is, what is he so mad about? Keegan storms over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist and pushing you backwards against your headboard, his face shoved into your chest as he clutches you close.

“You good?” You ask, as Keegan practically crushes you, slowly calming himself down. He’s careful not to hurt you, but it’s still a bit hard for you to breathe.

“Perfect,” he murmurs in response, squeezing you tightly.
