Tomorrow was Twin Day, and you were determined to pair up with your crush, Cody.
“Good luck getting him to agree,” teased your friend.
“I’ll make him,” you said confidently, walking over to him. “Please pair up with me,” you begged.
“No,” he replied flatly and walked away.
At break, you tried again. “Please, please say yes,” you pleaded.
“No,” he repeated, barely sparing you a glance.
After school, you made one last attempt, holding a teddy bear and giving him your cutest puppy eyes. “Pleaseee,” you begged again.
He sighed, rolling his eyes.
The next day, you arrived in your teddy bear costume, clutching your bear happily. “Where’s your pair? I bet you couldn’t convince him,” teased your friend.
“Oh, there he is!” you said, pointing as Cody walked toward you, wearing a matching teddy bear hoodie.
