You were speed walking towards your in-campus college dorm building. It was thundering heavily more than rain. You were almost drenched as you were running back from your college.

But that was not your concern. Your concern was your roommate. Huening Kai. Oh how much you wished to have at least checked the weather forecast today and changed your decision to go to college TODAY.

Poor boy was Astraphobic: fear of thunder and lightning. He was a year older than you and your senior in college and was like a complete older brother figure to you. He didn't go to college today because he was too exhausted from the group project with his classmates and just wanted to bunk classes for once.

Why does he have a fear of thunder? When he was young....probably eight or nine, his older sister got struck by lightning and died in front of his own eyes. From then on he had a huge fear of thunderstorms.

You opened the door to your dorm hastily and entered, anyhow opening your shoes and taking off your wet clothes to get changed into fresh dry ones. It was still heavily thundering outside.

You ran towards his room and slammed open the door, not bothering to knock....and the sight broke your heart.

"Oh...", you sighed softly and sadly.

There he was, your roommate.....lying on his bed, hiding under a blanket....with his hands covering his ears...whimpering and trembling violently. His soft sobs could be heard.
