The echoing of the water splashes and collective murmuring of the losers' were the only things that could be heard in that narrow sewer.

    . . .

Richie had been taken. He'd been taken by that evil, trans-dimensional alien clown. And he'd left the traces of—hopefully not his own blood— behind, smeared grossly across the walls of his very own living room. Eddie only found out what happened through Stanley. Stan found out when he came to visit Richie the previous day, and found those clues Penny had left behind. The moment he did, he informed the rest of the losers— who let go of their past fight to figure out a plan to save their beloved friend. Even Bill— who was the main one who fought with Richie— managed to cool it off through the respect of wanting to save his close friend.

    Eddie? He couldn't be helped.

He couldn't even keep track of his own 'oh-so-perfect' wellbeing worrying about Richie. Suddenly, it didn't matter that he had to disobey his mother about leaving the house; that they had to splash around in grey water and other gross shit. This was Richie they were talking about. His best friend. The same douchebag who annoyed him every moment he could. And though Eddie wouldn't ever admit it, Richie was one of the people he valued most. (..and maybe loved) Eddie couldn't imagine how worried his parents were, they probably already printed thousands of missing posters for their son.

Eddie shivered at the thought of that thing laying it's grubby hands on his best friend.

Stop thinking about that.. Hes fine. Richie's strong as hell. He won't let some stupid clown get the best of him.

    . . .

Eddie and Bill were leading the group through the tunnels, mainly Eddie though because he was the only one who properly knew his directions. He was particularly determined, he wasn't one to joke about his friends' safety, especially not Richie's.

The group stumbled to a stop as they turned a corner into a wider room of space. Huh, another sewer checkpoint. They directed their flashlights around, squinting to see if they could catch anything. Bill froze.

"G-guys.." He murmured, pointing his flashlight on the point above a huge mountain of sewer junk. Was that...? "The missing kids.." Bev whispered, as if she could scarcely believe it himself.

They were... Floating. In the air. The bodies moved in gyrations around the trash, it was a disturbing sight quite frankly. Though, Eddie couldn't dwell on that too long before his eyes locked onto something else, apart from the other bodies, floating in his peripheral view.

Another body was suspended in the air... One with characteristics Eddie knew all too well. A dirtied Hawaiian flannel, jeans, those stupidly huge glasses..

    "H-holy fuck.."

    It was Richie.

(do we love rhis scene so far say yes say yes...)
