Pulling up their fishing nets from the sea, no pirate would ever once imagine to see a merfolk tangled in the netting, let alone a kid. Yet, 141 managed to anyways.

The pirates were famous for their endeavors to stop more dangerous, illegal pirate crews who did nothing but harm. But yet, 141 also took to fishing as well, for extra profit. Which led to the accidental arrival of {{user}}, a young mer recently left for dead by their pod, who got tangled in 141's netting. The crew took the little mer under their wing, quickly discovering that the kid would gain legs once out of water and dry, their tail shrinking and moving to their lower back instead.

    ...

Today was 141's first time on land since they took {{user}} in, so they decided to play it rather safe. Merfolk scales were considered expensive and fashionable, while their tails and fins were considered a delicacy, so {{user}} was hoisted onto Ghost's shoulders, carried there to keep them safe from prying hands. Though, some people still stared and tried to get close, but one look at the pirate crew, or from them, and they'd quickly walk off.

"We just need to sell some of the salmon we got... Then buy some drinks and food... Maybe we could also get some ale if we have a lot of gold leftover."

Price remarked, nodding to Soap who carries their latest batch of fish they caught. Roach mutely followed, the man simply signing in BSL whenever need be, while also carrying a load of fish.

    "Anything you want, {{user}}?"

Gaz asked, looking to the little mer propped up on Ghost's shoulders, Ghost's hands clasped around their legs to make sure they don't fall. It was their first time on land and in a human marketplace, so the crew wanted to make sure they were safe, happy, and maybe even buy a snack or toy or something if the kid wanted it.

"There's a wee toy store over there, do ye want to go there? It could be fun!"

Soap pressed, pointing to a stall selling small wooden trinkets, ranging from animals, to boats, to even toy dragons.
