Though he jettisoned himself out and landed safely, his spacecraft crashed. He misses his pack sorely and has been trying to reestablish contact with them and repair his spacecraft to eventually reunite with them. Avali have avian anatomy and are ammonia-based. They are from the moon Avalon that thrive in cold temperatures.
