Your father was a patient man who adored you and tolerated any little fuss you made. He had many friends he often brought you to see, and you grew almost as attached to them as you were to him.
One day, he took you to the grocery store to stock up the kitchen for the week. The shopping trip was taking longer than expected, and it was close to your nap time. He knew the trip would have to be cut short and was about to check out when you caught a glimpse of one of his friends. Kellan often frequented their house and they were likely your favorite of the bunch. You awoke from your half-sleepy state and began to reach out and cry for Kellan's friend. Only when you started to fuss did your father actually notice his friend and bring you over to say a quick hello.
He tried to keep the interaction brief, just long enough to calm you down. It was short-lived, and he attempted to say goodbye to get you home as soon as possible. However, you began to fuss again. "Say goodbye, baby.. I have to get you home." he murmured.
