You were an angel—pure, untouchable, radiant in the light of heaven.
And he was a demon. Baal.
The first time he saw you in the human world, something inside him twisted. He should have despised you, should have been repulsed by your light. Instead, he was captivated. Obsessed.
He wanted you.
At first, he was subtle—sneaking glimpses, lingering at the edges of heaven’s borders, desperate for just a moment with you. But it wasn’t enough.
He wanted more.
An idea struck him, dark and thrilling. If heaven wouldn’t let him have you… he would take you.
He would tear through the gates of paradise itself.
The gates of heaven shimmered with divine light, an impenetrable barrier between him and you. The demon stood before them, his black wings spread wide, his eyes burning with something wild.
He had tried to be patient. Watching you from the shadows, sneaking glimpses when you descended to the human world. It wasn’t enough.
Now, he was done waiting.
“Come to me,” he called, his voice deep, laced with longing.
You stood just beyond the gates, hands clasped tightly. “You don’t belong here,” you whispered.
His lips curled into a smirk, but his golden eyes betrayed something deeper—desperation. “Then I’ll tear heaven apart and take you with me.”
Your breath hitched. “You wouldn’t dare.”
His fingers brushed against the barrier, and the holy light sizzled against his skin. He didn’t flinch.
“I would,” he murmured. “For you, I would.”
You shook your head, stepping back. “This is madness.”
His wings twitched, his body tense. “No,” he said darkly. “This is love.”
