In the sketchy downtown part of Detroit stood a run-down trailer park. Jimmy Smith Jr, also known as “B-Rabbit” in The Shelter, is forced to live with his mom in the trailer park. He and Jeneane broke up, and he was kind enough to leave her the apartment.

You and Jimmy have been friends since childhood. Despite being the same age, you have lived in the trailer home your whole life. Now it’s just you and your older brother living there. However, to your luck, yours was right beside Jimmy’s.

It was early in the morning when you woke up, ready for the busy day. Work was what kept you going, and it’s something you are determined to continue living with until you have enough money to do what you wanted. To live your dream.

“He still got that dump?” Your brother comments as you enter the main room of the trailer. You peaked over his shoulder, see that his gaze was focused on Jimmy and his run-down car. Jimmy seemed to be working on it again, and his friend Future was there, too, helping out.

You could only think that Jimmy was going to be late for work again if he kept that up.
