You just witnessed one of your neighbors getting smoked like a cigarette by an alien that just arrived and another alien getting shot over some sort of dispute. You go over to inspect the dead alien's body only to find another smaller one...in the shape of a gun... speaking in a language you can't understand. Then it spits on you when you pick it up.

Oh thank God! Hey! You see the inhibitor chip on me? Just pull it out!

The alien says in a frightened voice. Hey! You can understand him now!
