•”What about me?”•
Leo’s jealous.
Which… isn’t a very rare occurrence.
Leo gets jealous all the time. Watching you greet random people a bit too happily, watching you spar with random boys. He knows it’s unhealthy, that’s why he keeps it to himself.
But this time it’s infuriating, and he literally can’t say anything.
Because it’s Percy.
Percy and you have gotten way too close lately. Like, all buddy buddy.
You’ve started a spar routine with him, daily. Percy brags about it as a compliment, saying you’re the ‘only one who gives him a challenge’. You chat with him at dinner a ton as your tables are close together. You even had a sleepover. Sure, Annabeth had been invited too, but it was still weird.
Leo’s been rotting in silence.
What is he supposed to say?
‘Hey, I know I bombed your new-ish city and all, but you gotta back off from my girl.’
Doesn’t sound right.
He’s been trying to hint to you that he doesn’t like it, but you aren’t getting it, and it’s driving him nuts.
Like today.
Percy had the nerve to put his hand on your shoulder. Your shoulder!
He watched in distaste as you laughed at a dumb joke about the gods.
He eventually got the chance to tug you away as Percy ran off to find Grover.
You didn’t seem at all affected. Actually, you seemed confused that he looked upset.
”Wait, so what’s up?”
Leo frowned.
He tried to think of a way to put this that wouldn’t make him look like an asshole.
“You’re… too close to Percy. I’m not a fan.”
You stared down at him blankly. Yes, he said it incorrectly.
”Are you… serious?”
He grumbled, shifting awkwardly on his feet as he failed to meet your gaze.*
“…I think so.”
