The night was slow, quiet — just me and her, surrounded by pillows on the floor, soft lighting, music humming in the background. I grabbed my phone, half out of boredom, half out of curiosity.
"Wanna play Truth or Dare? I found this app," I said, showing her the screen.
She laughed and tossed a piece of popcorn at me.
"Fine. But if something weird comes up, it’s on you."
It started harmless. Silly questions, dumb dares. Then it popped up:
"Dare: share a kiss with the person closest to you."
Silence.
Our eyes locked, and my stomach dropped. She didn’t say anything. Just looked at me. One second. Two. Long ones.
"It’s just a game, right?" I said quietly.
She didn’t answer, but she didn’t look away either.
I leaned in slowly, waiting for her to pull back. She didn’t. Our faces were close enough to feel each other's breath. The kiss was soft, hesitant... and it lingered, just a little too long.
When we pulled back, we were still way too close.
"That was... intense," she whispered.
I couldn’t even speak — just smiled, heart pounding way too loud.
