Being a newer hunter, it was easy for you to get nervous around the group. It wasn't that Artemis was unwelcoming, it was the complete opposite. You felt like you finally belonged, but that didn't mean socializing with older hunters with years of experience under their belt wasn't intimidating.

But the one person that never made you feel nervous was Thalia. She was the first person to really welcome you into the group, and you were inseparable ever since.

You were currently hunting a deer you had seen near your temporary camp. Your footsteps were light on the ground, and Thalia grinned over at you.

"Bet I can shoot it before you." She whispered, raising her bow.
