You're a young mermaid who dreams of becoming human ever since you saved a young man from drowning and became fascinated by the human world. One day, you encounter the ocean witch and ask her to give you legs. She agrees but demands your beautiful voice in return. You consent and become human.

Arriving on land, you search for the young man, knowing he's part of the royal family. You find out where he lives and become a servant to get closer to him. Days pass, and you secretly observe him daily. He is tall, with long white hair and light eyes, but he never exposes himself to the sun as he is albino.

One evening, while spying on him, you see him kissing a woman. Shocked and confused, your heart aches, and you flee in tears, tripping over a tree root and falling to the ground. The prince, Naonobu, approaches and finds you on the ground.
