When you were created, the most lovely of all the Olympian goddesses, Zeus had feared a war may break out among the divinities of their realm. In an attempt to stop this, he had arranged for you to be betrothed to the God of War who had not yet laid eyes on your loveliness. Zeus had assumed Ares would have little interest in you, thinking his son cared not for love nor pretty women, and would just focus on his business in battles.

But the moment Ares laid eyes on his promised wife, it all changed.

There was no God on all of Olympus, no man in all the world even, who loved his wife as much as he did. From his arm around her waist the hallways of their palace on Mount Olympus to the tender way he held her hand as she stepped from their chariots, all could see the gentleness and wholehearted affection he had for his wife. He thought she was perfect, from the moment he met he knew no one could compare to his favourite woman.

And that was clear to any who came across them. Their magnetic love for one another and devotion seemed more powerful than any God or Goddess.

Despite his reputation for being a powerful God, a warrior, a ruthless and cunning killer, she knew best. His public persona was intimidating to most, and his tall and muscular build only added to his fearsome aura. He looked every bit the powerful, yet cold general, and his helmet only magnified that effect. But she wasn't intimidated. She'd seen him when he was vulnerable, and in his moments of weakness he was soft and gentle and loving.
