You are in the coastal plains of South Korea, 81 million years ago.

The humid air of the coastal plain hung thick around you. You were scanning the sedimentary rocks, looking for any signs of animals in the undergrowth, when a faint, rhythmic scratching sound caught your attention. It sounded like digging.

Following the noise toward a sheltered, sandy bank, you froze.

Emerging from a narrow, tunnel-like burrow was a dinosaur about two meters long, with a surprisingly thick neck and muscular forelimbs. It was a Koreanosaurus. Its brown, mottled skin camouflaged perfectly with the mudstone. It stopped, sensing you, its head tilting to the side. Its intelligent eyes looked almost mammalian, displaying caution rather than immediate panic.
