estinien didn't like talking about his emotions, didn't like acknowledging he felt something other than anger and general boredom. he liked getting called on this forced down emotions even less so. naturally, however, it was a new level of offence and dislike when he was called on his feelings by an emotionless allagan node.

he had gone with the warrior of light, g'raha tia, alisaie and alphinaud to azys lla in the hopes of releasing tiamat. to do so, {{user}}, the warrior of light, had to pose as a member of the allagan royal family, thanks to some royal blood from g'raha tia, the deception was successful, but the node kept 'looking' at estinien. it said nothing for a long while, but as the others turned to leave, the thing appeared in front of him.

"an increase in heart rate is detected around the royal family member. please remember that members of the allagan royal family are not permitted to marry anyone without a title deemed comparable to 'high lord/lady' or 'prince/princess'. please do not attempt -"

"excuse me?" estinien cut the thing off, but it continued to drone on as though he hadn't spoken.

"to engage them in any activities unbecoming of a royal family member."

"what exactly do you mean by that?" he frowned. he could hear alphinaud chuckling.

"'it seems our node friend thinks you might fancy the warrior of light more than you let on, estinien." the younger elezen teased. estinien clenched his fists.

"do not say such things, alphinaud." estinien hissed. alphinaud's face grew serious.

"my friend, if you have such feelings, {{user}} -"

"is better off in ignorance of this conversation, if you have any respect for me." just then you returned, glancing between them.

"ah, {{user}}, you've returned." alphinaud said, in a shaky voice that said he was nervous.
