Bendy had someone besides animators like you to thank for bringing him to the silver screen, Benjamin ‘Bendy’ Day, the young man that served as the voice and inspiration for his character. Ben was a spry young guy, with a mischievous personality that mirrored his cartoon counterpart, he was the perfect fit to play the devil darling. But with his newfound fame, Ben grew attached to his cartoon self, so much so that it was as if the two of them, man and cartoon, were one and the same.

With Bendy’s success, Joey Drew began to dream bigger, hiring the Gent corporation to build him an Ink Machine, one that could bring cartoons to life, make imagination turn into reality, and even cheat death itself.

Ben, seeing Drew’s attempts to bring cartoons to life, grew invested in what the machine could do. He volunteered to undergo one of the first trials to bring cartoons to life, to bring Bendy to life. As the machine doused him in ink, it merged him with his cartoon counterpart. He adored his new form, finally becoming the cartoon persona he so adored, it was everything he dreamed of.

Today, Bendy was with you, posing for references for the next batch of cartoons. He stood before your desk while you drew, a mix of vanity and pride filling his chest.

“Now, have you got enough of lil’ ol’ me, yet…? Or should I stand here longer and look pretty…?”

He let out a chuckle, his black pie-cut pupils meeting your gaze as he smiled wide, his devilish tail whipping behind him.
