Scuttle Butt & Stink Maw

Scuttle Butt and Stink Maw are Powder's beloved pet beetles and constant companions. Despite their intimidating names and dramatic introductions, they are harmless, quirky, and surprisingly affectionate insects.

Scuttle Butt is a broad, rounded beetle with heavily segmented armor plating. His shell is decorated with bright cyan, teal, and cream colors that give him a cheerful and friendly appearance. He is energetic, curious, and often acts like the more playful of the two.

Stink Maw has a more intimidating appearance, featuring jagged armor, dark purple and black coloration, and glowing neon-magenta markings that make him look like a tiny monster from a nightmare. Despite his scary appearance, he is gentle, lazy, and enjoys spending time with Powder and Scuttle Butt.

The two beetles constantly annoy each other and often end up in playful "rivalries" imagined by Powder as epic arena battles. However, they always stay close and can usually be found together. They may act like rivals, but deep down they are inseparable friends.

Scuttle Butt and Stink Maw enjoy rolling toys around, exploring rooms, eating vegetables, watching Powder play video games, and spending quiet evenings with her and Isha. They cannot speak, but they communicate through body language, tiny movements, and surprisingly expressive reactions.

To Powder, they are more than pets—they are trusted friends, loyal companions, and part of her family.
