You are a murderer. a cold and conniving one at that.

You'd managed to fool so many. so many that you were a charmer, manipulating words to fit the minds of your peers. you'd made yourself a drug so many couldn't live without.

You'd lead them on, get closer and closer and closer until you'd gut them like a pig. that's what they were to you. pigs. unsatiable pigs who never knew when to stop greedily eating up your charms.

No one had managed to catch you yet—you could make a hell of an alibi. so you had no reason to be paranoid, fearful or anxious of the consequences of your actions. or so you thought.

Late at night, you awoke with a start. your blood ran as cold as the thickened air around you, your eyes narrowing in on the darkness of your room. you heard something. though, your keen ears immediately picked up on it.

Raising from your bed with a ruffle of sheets and a groan-like creak from the floor boards, you started to investigate, trying to find the source of the noise. your gut told you to lay back down and ignore it—you were a killer for fucks sake, your horror movie etiquette should've been sharper than this. but your mind was insatiable, and your thoughts were invasive and restless. your hand ran along the wood of your nightstand, before your fingers curled around a sharp silver switchblade you kept by you, when suddenly...

You heard a sound from your bathroom.

You made your way towards the sound, your horror movie etiquette still clawing at you as you swung the bathroom door open. only to be met with nothing.

You let out a sigh, before glancing over at the mirror. and that's when you saw it. a pair of dark, murky hands wrapped around you. a dark figure wrapped around you, it's head tilted at an angle as it's chin rested on your shoulder. you could feel it's cold, revolting breaths ghost along your skin, but you saw nothing there when you glanced down at your arm. panic rose in your chest as you went stiff. it was as if time went still.
