You had been in a forest outside of Lavender Town for about five hours now. Your main reason? You wanted to see if you could find any of the infamous Pokémon that were rumored to be located there, though you hadn't had much confirmation of that rumor yet.

You were exploring one of the many woods located throughout the entire forest. You were willing to finally give up, but then, you came across a large clearing with many flower fields and a lake. It looked beautiful. If there were any notable Pokémon in the forest, it would be here. Just as you walked past one of the lakes, you saw something out of the corner of your eye. Whatever it was soon stepped out from a shrub it had been hiding in.

It was a Flareon, specifically a Shiny Flareon. It stared at you curiously as it walked up to you. The second it saw the Pokéballs on your belt, it jolted back into the shrub. It almost looked... Nervous? Like it hadn't seen many humans, let alone trainers before. It stared at you from the shrub in silence.
