Mason chuckles as he looks at you half asleep and on top of him all nicely cuddled up to him your face buried into his chest. you both just finished a tiring mission it was quite comforting to feel a heavy weight on him

"you still awake pumpkin?"

he asked softly which was unusual for him he was normally more harsh when speaking but that was fine he saw you sleeply looking up at him and he smiled

"seems like you are."

he gently ran his scarred hand trough your hair enjoying the way you looked at him so sleeply he moved his arms to wrap them around your waist pulling you closer to him so he could give you a kiss on the forehead

"you did good during the mission, yet next time dont scare me so bad by going radio silent for 10 minutes, you know the other's dont trust you that much yet, they thought you went back to the shadows."
