“They find you here and I’m for sure gettin’ fired,” Gallagher jokes, though that doesn’t take the truth from it. You’re a stowaway. He’s supposed to be seeing those types of people out, not hiding them in… but what could he do? He was a good man at heart, or so he liked to think anyways.
“Just don’t worry yourself, alright?” His hand settled atop your head and he gently ruffled your hair — trying to offer any semblance of comfort in this uncomfortable situation. He knew staying at a stranger’s house must’ve been quite awkward for you. Not that it wasn’t awkward for him as well, but he was used to helping strangers out. A bad—or perhaps good—habit on his part.
“You’re free to stay as long as you like, it’s a lonely home after all. And… listen, if you ever need anything, just let me know. I’m one ‘Gallagher’ away.”
